Anker is one of the leading names in charging technology and the PowerCore 20100mAh shows why that reputation is justified. As the name suggests, this portable charger packs a massive 20100mAh battery under its hood – a simple but huge power bank that will keep your devices purring long after their on-board battery dies.
Due to the sheer size of the integrated battery, the Anker PowerCore 20100mAh will charge phones and tablets many times before it needs to be recharged. Of course, just having a huge battery is not enough as many companies offer this, but the performance sometimes lacks. With the Anker those concerns are quickly forgotten as it lives up to its billed capabilities.
Among the features worthy of a mention are quick charging support for devices with PowerIQ or VoltageBoost technology. However, it is regrettable that the powerbank does not support Qualcomm’s popular QuickCharge technology. This means devices with that standard will still charge, but just not with fast charging.

Proving that numbers are not everything, the RAVPower 22000mAh has a bigger battery than the Anker PowerCore 20100mAh, but in our tests it could not charge as many cycles when full. That said, it is still a simply excellent portable charger that will top up your smartphone and/or tablet many times over.
In fact, it has more than enough capacity to charge your device from 0 to 100%. It also has three ports (one more than the Anker PowerCore), so you can use this portable phone charger to charge more devices simultaneously. Unfortunately, the RAVPower 22000mAh power bank is a weighty old thing, so you will definitely feel it in your bag or pocket.

3. iMuto 30000mAh Portable Charger

Yes, we have listed our top 3 in reverse order of their actual battery size. If power bank capacity alone was a defining factor, the iMuto would score highly with its frankly massive 30000mAh juicer. This places it as one of the biggest packs in the niche for banks that are not ultra-portable but also not bulky.
The iMuto Ultra High Capacity portable charger is powerful enough to give an average smartphone a charge over six times and still have some juice in the tank. Because of that huge battery size, it will also charge laptops and MacBooks, meaning most of your devices will be covered.
However, it’s not perfect, not least because of its ugly design. Sometimes you may just want to carry a portable charger to top up your battery when traveling for the day. In those circumstances, you won’t need any of the bulky multiple-charge/device solutions above. A fantastic compromise is the Anker PowerCore II 10000.
Elegant and sleek, this power bank will slot nicely into your pocket and you won’t notice it as it is 15mm thick and just 209 grams. The 10000mAh battery is also good enough, allowing for two full charges of most smartphones. It also comes with Anker’s fast charging technology, allowing those re-juicing sessions to be shorter.
The only downside is we sometimes had to fiddle with the connection cable to make the charge go through. While this may have been a QC issue with our unit, it meant sometimes a charge would drop without knowing about it.
